Yes, it’s Natural!
We are getting a lot of first time buyers for virgin hair; so I feel the need to reiterate some facts. It’s important to remember that a lot of things with hair is subjective. Curl /wave pattern; color etc all depends on the individual. I have installed some hair that I considered curly, and people will say pretty wavy hair. Also, several thins will define your wave/curl pattern, the way its installed, the method of styling, products used etc etc, it’s an endless list!
Some days my hair is wavy, some days it’s a loose curl, and some days its super tight, depending on if I wash it that day, plop it, spray it with water, air dry, or blow dry. So looking at someone’s hair and wanting it, its deeper than Laniks selecting a curl pattern that match it exactly, it’s also asking the person how did you style your hair?
Also, we get a lot of the hair has two different colors, wave/curl pattern are not similar etc. this is the beauty of having natural hair, the difference in colors is natural, its mostly highlights created by wearing the hair in the sun, most natural hair bundle will have highlights, or be two toned, you can safely color the hair (we advice on using demi permanent hair color); however, these are the quirks that makes the hair more natural looking. No one has one texture throughout the whole head, even process hair, as different hair will respond to process, differently.
So, please remember when you want natural hair, it will also have natural traits, such as frizz (yes OMG, Frizz), may tangle if care is not taken, will swell if humidity hits it, and yes, this hair, will bounce and move, and feel like natural hair! It can be washed, straighten, roller set, and bounced back to its original texture when washed.
It’s important to note that the hair is not perfect, but its Natural, with cuticles aligned, so it will behave like natural hair!

- What’s the difference between Virgin Remy Indian Curls X^1 and Virgin Remy Indian Curls X^2.
Virgin Remy Indian Curls X^2 will be the curliest curls we have instock at that time – So the only difference is that you are guarantee that the curliest in stock is what you get in when you order curls X^2. We no longer sell the curls separately all our virgin curls will be in the Curls X^1 category. You may specify for a curlier curl during the check out process
- Can your closure be installed without using adhesives.
yes, all closures, and frontals can be installed with or without adhesives. The construction of the closures allows you to install it with or without adhesives. See detailed information on closures/frontals here:

- How many packs do I need?
We always recommend 2 bundles ( 8 ounces); if you feel that you need more or less, please consult with your stylist.
- If I use a closure/frontal how much hair will I need?

- How do I know if you have and when you will have something in stock?
Check our blog, our blog is always updated with stock lists. We do not send email notifications regarding stock or product updates, we update on our blog. the blog is the best way to notify everyone at the same time.
- How do I find out about coupons and promotions?
Some promotions are announced on the blog, some are private sale events. An open invitation to a sale or any available coupons/ promotions will be announced on our blog!
- Are you still showcasing stylists?
Yes, we are accepting nominations for stylists; if you have a stylist/or an artist, to nominate for our showcase, please contact us.
- Do you have color options? How do I pick the color I want?
We do not offer color option; because all the hair products available on our site are natural colors. Natural colors range from Natural black to natural brown. LHB will most likely send you a natural black, if a natural black is not available, we will send you the darkest color that we have in stock. We do not mail light browns unless specify by our customers. Please make a note on the comment section before completing your order if you are particular about your colors.
- Whats the difference between Handtied wefts and Machine Wefts?
Handtied is fragile and very thin wefts, made with hands. Machine wefts is more durable and less prone to shedding, made with machine. Neither one is better than the other however, unless your stylist is familiar with Handtied wefts I will suggest purchasing the machine wefts.
- Do you Ship outside of the United States?
Yes we ship all over the world; shipping times and rates will depend on the product you order, where you are located and the shipping option you choose. The best/and most accurate way to estimate shipping is to add items to your cart and click on the “estimate shipping” button at the end of the page.
- How long does it take for my order to ship?
Orders are shipped within 72 hours of payment clearing. We use USPS to ship all our orders. There are two shipping options in the US, USPS priority mail shipping ( 2-3 days) and USPS expedited shipping ( 1-2 days) . Plan ahead, as your order may take 4-5 days to reach you if you are in the US.
- What length do I need to order?
Its difficult to gauge lengths on people, the best way to decide is to either go in a Beauty Supply Store and use one of the hair as a gauge. Or, use a tape measure’r to measure yourself, and determine where you want the hair to hit on you.

What is a closure?
A closure is a piece of silk or lace that mimics skin to create an artificial but natural looking scalp
Our Closures:
LHB closures are either lace based or silk based:
- Both lace and silk closures, can be installed without adhesives.
- Both can be installed using adhesives
- Both are natural looking
- All our closures are free style, meaning that you can part the closure anywhere
- The base of the closure is either a light or brown color; please note that both of these closures can be stained to achieve your prefered color.
- The measurements for the closures are the same; and its standard size.
Sizing:
3.5″ by 4″
3.5″ is the width; this is the space it will cover (width) if you put it on your head- To get a better idea of what 3.5″ looks like on your head, please put a tape measure on your head and measure.
4″ is the depth, this is how far back it goes on your head when you install it.
Lace closure Specific:
All of our lace closures are medium to full density; all knots are bleached so, you do not have to bleached the knots when you received the closure.If you feel that the lace closure is not a perfect match to your skin color, you can dye the lace- you can also put a piece of fabric that matches your complexion (some people use pantyhose) underneath the lace closure.

You can also use fabric dye or makeup to further alter the Silk and/ or Lace closures.
Silk Closure Specific:
Silk closures can be dyed using tea, fabric paint, makeup etc. to match your complexion. If silk is too dark for your complexion, you will not be able to lighten it.
All Closure care:
- Please seal your closures prior to wearing, also seal the closure every time you are installing. info on sealing here: http://lanikshair.com/index.php?main_page=page_3
- Wash closure very well with warm water- make sure all you do not have product buildup on the scalp part of the closure.
- Rinse closure every week with diluted apple cider vinegar to clarify and clean
- When brushing the closure, brush gently, to avoid pulling hair out from the roots. Also use a Denman brush with balls on the tips or a wide tooth comb- avoid using too much pressure on the closure.
- If you part your closure continuously in one spot, the spot may start to bald. To prevent balding alternate parting spots
- To part the closure, wet it lightly with water.

2010 updates:
Our closure is now a lighter density than previously offered. Its about 10%-15% lighter than what we previously offered. Also the base of our closure has slightly changed in construction! We are pleased to say that our closrues have improved and and are of the same great quality we had before.
